He is majestic & proud...His natural genetic instincts take over as he was born to be a "Security Guard".
We acquired Max for home protection, to train in Obedience, and to be a loyal companion and pet.  He is beyond a doubt one of the most unique dogs I have ever been around!  Anyone who knows Max would understand what I mean...Max's breeding is  purebred...in the sense of the word, but not in a traditional way. His breeding was originated from a Neopolitan Mastiff female and an American Staffordshire cross.  Max's parents were both imports.  He is of the "Molosser" type breeding http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molosser
These "bandogg's" were bred for home & property protection
and are still used in other countries today for that same purpose ... especially in countries where they are not allowed to own guns and do not have a means to protect themselves and their families from home invasions. These dog's are a definite deterrent.  This type of dog is extremely protective of women and children...and is not a good dog choice for a weak or unconfident leader. 
They are a loyal family member.
